Chilled/Cold Bitters Drink Recipes--No Alcohol, Low Alcohol, and Alcoholic

BEST NON-ALCOHOLIC COLD BITTERS DRINKS

NA (Non-alcoholic) Tonic and Bitters. Mix tonic water, ice and three or four dashes of bitters. Lemon or lime peel garnish.

NA Soda and Bitters. Mix sparkling water, ice, and three or four dashes of bitters. Lemon or lime peel garnish.

Note: Please be aware that most bitters have alcohol in them but are considered non-alcoholic since you only use a few drops. If you want zero alcohol, please check all labels or search specifically for zero alcohol bitters.

BEST LOW ALCOHOL COLD BITTERS DRINKS

Low Alcohol Whiskey Tonic with Bitters.  Mix tonic water, ½ shot of whiskey, ice, and two or three dashes of bitters. Lemon or lime peel garnish. Lime Aromatic bitters recommended.

Low Alcohol Scotch and Soda with Bitters. Mix carbonated water, ½ shot of Scotch, ice, and two or three dashes of bitters. Lemon or lime peel garnish. Gooseberry Armageddon bitters recommended.

Low Alcohol Pink Gin and Tonic.   Mix tonic water, ½ shot of gin, ice, and two or three dashes of bitters. Grapefruit Complex bitters recommended.

BEST ALCOHOLIC COLD BITTERS DRINKS

Pink Gin (also known as Gin Pahit). Coat a glass with bitters, then add a shot of gin. Grapefruit Complex bitters recommended.

Pink Gin 2. Mix a shot of dry gin, water, sugar (or simple syrup), and a few dashes of bitters. Grapefruit Complex bitters recommended.

Pink Gin and Tonic. Mix a shot of dry gin, tonic water, and bitters. Grapefruit Complex bitters recommended.

Whiskey and Bitters. Mix a shot of whiskey with a few dashes of bitters.

Old-Fashioned. Mull a sugar cube (or add sugar or simple syrup), a shot of whiskey (bourbon recommended), a dash or two of bitters, ice cubes, and a splash of water or club soda. Orange peel garnish.

Sazerac. Coat the glass with absinthe, then add a shot of rye whiskey and/or Cognac, sugar, a few dashes of bitters. Lemon peel garnish.

Classic Dry Martini with Bitters. Mix two-parts gin, one-part dry vermouth, and a few dashes of orange/citrus bitters with ice. Pour it off the ice once chilled. Lemon peel garnish.

Champagne Cocktail. Place a sugar cube in a glass, then add sparkling wine and a dash of bitters.

Manhattan. Mix two-parts whiskey (bourbon or rye recommended), one-part sweet vermouth, and a few dashes of bitters. Orange peel or cherry garnish.

Vodka Tonic with Bitters.  Mix one shot vodka, tonic water, ice, and two dashes of bitters. Lemon wedge garnish. 

Whiskey Tonic with Bitters.  Mix one shot whiskey, tonic water, ice, and two or three dashes of bitters. Lemon wedge garnish. Lime Aromatic bitters recommended.

Scotch and Soda with Bitters.  Mix one shot scotch, carbonated water, and two or 

three dashes of bitters. Lemon wedge garnish. Gooseberry Armageddon bitters recommended.

Warm/Hot Bitters Drink Recipes--No Alcohol, Low Alcohol, and Alcoholic

BEST NON-ALCOHOLIC (NA) HOT BITTERS DRINKS

NA (Non-alcoholic) Hot Bitters with Honey. Mix one tablespoon honey, one cup hot water, and four or five dashes of bitters. Lemon slice garnish.

NA Hot Bitters with Brown Sugar. Mix one tablespoon brown sugar, one cup hot water, and four or five dashes of bitters. Orange slice and cinnamon stick garnish.

NA Hot Cocoa with Gooseberry Armageddon Bitters. Mix six ounces of hot chocolate (preferably made from scratch) and five dashes of Gooseberry Armageddon bitters.

Low Alcohol Hot Toddy with Bitters. Mix ½ shot of whiskey (or dark spirit of choice), one tablespoon honey, two teaspoons lemon juice, one cup of hot water, and three or four dashes of bitters. Lemon slice garnish.

Low Alcohol Hot Grog with Bitters. Mix ½ shot of dark rum, ½ ounce fresh lime juice, one teaspoon brown sugar, one cup of hot water, and three or four dashes of bitters. Orange slice and cinnamon stick garnish.
